DIRECTORS CORNER
Christmas! I can't believe it's almost here. Well, if you don't share my sentiments....Buddy the Elf will surely get you into that Christmas spirit.
This wonderful community of Player's here at LBLTJ have been feeling Christmas-y since October. We have been working hard to make this show a feast for your eyes and your heart.
It has been a joy and a blessing to work with each and every one of this wonderful cast, crew and board members, especially Heather Young, Jennie Cross and Julia Pettibon. Without their hard work and diligence this tale could not have been told so eloquently.
I hope you enjoy our Buddy and this amazing cast of characters as they spin the story of Buddy the Elf. I sincerely wish that it lifts you up and gives you that feeling of wonder that we all need.
It's been a long time since we have been able to gather together in this theatre to watch and experience live theatre. Please come back. Buy season passes. Please, support this community by giving back , with your time and your money to support and keep theatre alive in our fair city of Jamestown. My Christmas wish is that this theatre is alive and well for the generations to come. God Bless You All and Merry Christmas!

Anne Eklund, Director
I am very excited to be directing my first show at Lucille Ball of Little Theatre of Jamestown and what a better start than “Elf The Musical”! The theatre has been worked through challenges and I am so excited to once again be bringing live community theatre to our area with amazing local talent. “Elf” has become one of those beloved Christmas movie traditions. I remember my first viewing of the film and the pure joy and laughter. There is such a wonderful innocence and simple perspective that Buddy brings to a world of chaos and bitterness. He is such a great symbol and a reminder for all of us to enjoy the world around us with childlike wonderment, joy and hope. There is often so much going on in our lives that it seems impossible to live in the present without stressing about the future. My wish for you tonight is to be in the moment, laugh, and feel the pure joy of the season and remember, the best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear!!
Lucille Miller
1926-2022
Lucille’s involvement with the theatre spanned decades.
In addition to her involvement with our main stage season, she, along with Helen Merrill, founded the Jr. Guilders organization in 1982.
In dedication to her years of service and commitment to the mission of the Lucille Ball Little Theatre, the Board of Directors has chosen to dedicate our orchestra pit in Lucille's memory.
Thank you, Lucy, for everything you did for the organization and the community. You were truly one of a kind and will be greatly missed by all of us who were lucky enough to have had you in our lives.
